Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of healing that gives practitioners tools to bring balance into the physical, mental and emotional aspects of life.  The system addresses diet, daily routine and general well being with an understanding that each individual has a unique constitution.  Through the use of certain foods, yoga postures and herbs most health concerns can be alleviated with Ayurveda. Ayurvedic remedies and guidelines are ideal for parents and children because they are safe, effective and long lasting.

During this two hour workshop Bija Kids instructors Lauren Maples and Kristen Bower will offer parents yogic and ayurvedic tools and techniques that can be easily and successfully integrated into any family’s daily routine.  Participants will be guided through simple asanas that help their children wake up for school, focus on schoolwork and cope with stress.   Ayurvedic remedies for digestive and respiratory ailments will be discussed as well as fun and creative games and activities for a rainy afternoon.  Learn how to connect to your child (whatever age) with partner poses and age appropriate mediation techniques.  Parents will leave with a plethora of ideas to integrate into their daily routines, as well as knowledge of safe and effective remedies to treat common children’s ailments.

*This workshop is for parents only
