Christina Hatgis

Christina, co-director of Mala Yoga, discovered Yoga in 1989 when she was traveling in India and was introduced to the Bhagavad Gita and Indian philosophy. Her asana practice began in earnest in 1996 and she returned to India in 1998 to study intensively for eight months. Students enjoy her relaxed, compassionate, and insightful teaching that has evolved from extensive study of the Asthanga Vinyasa, Om Yoga, and Anusara Yoga traditions. Thank you to Eddie Stern, Derek Ireland, Cyndi Lee, and Amy Ippoliti for guiding, encouraging, and inspiring. She is most grateful to her children, Julian and Marina, for providing the most beautiful, challenging, and rewarding practice of all.
